Vobis, LLC Pilot Evaporator Systems

Vobis has over 30 years of working experience in the design and manufacture of evaporation and crystallization pilot plant systems (in addition to manufacturing production scale systems).  Our various technologies and sizes of pilot evaporators (pot still, falling film, forced circulation, rising film, MVR, MVC, WFE, TFE and SPD (Molecular Stills)) enable our clients to meet a variety of process goals – from laboratory to production scale, including the generation of pilot scale-up data, the production of marketing samples or the small scale production of products.  Our pilot evaporators and crystallizers (forced circulation, evaporative, cooling, DTB, Oslo) process capacities ranging from small evaporators and small crystallizers of less than 1 kilogram per hour to larger systems with capacities of thousands of kilograms per hour.

Integrated into our pilot evaporation and crystallization systems are controls ranging from simple manual controls to fully automated Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC controls and instrumentation, the necessary piping, valves, tankage, heat exchangers, hot oil systems, chillers, frame sets, and vacuum systems for continuous or batch operation.

Our engineers are experienced in testing, designing. manufacturing and the implementation of pilot and production evaporation and crystallization systems, with design experience in a broad range of applications, including pharmaceutical, nuclear, food, chemical process industry, nutraceutical, agricultural, lithium salts crystallization, the oil patch, hemp processing, and waste water industries.  Vobis pilot evaporation and crystallization systems’ applications fully utilize our specialized experience in order to develop customized systems solutions to fulfill our clients’ process goals.

Vobis is also very experienced in highly specialized, technically demanding applications in the chemical process, polymer, agricultural, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic and nutraceutical industries. These include falling film evaporation, wiped film evaporation and high vacuum molecular distillation systems for various areas of application including the natural extracts, flavor/fragrance, nutraceutical, energy, hemp and pharmaceutical industries as well as other industries requiring these capabilities, and for highly viscous yet temperature sensitive applications which require our high viscosity wiped film pilot evaporation systems.
